Each year the Edinburgh
International Festival appoints one photographer the role to
officially document the dynamic, ceaseless and prestigious annual
celebration of the arts.
This series, presented
as a solo exhibition, lifts the lid on the dynamics and workings of
the festival. It acts as an archive capturing the festival at work,
looking both at and the behind the performances. Between rehearsal
rooms, stage wings, green rooms, orchestra pits and city parks, to
the main stages where the work came alive, I documented candid
moments of artists and staff at work to create a subtle but powerful
narrative of the arts in action.
